ASLdeafined is a great website that allows us to learn through videos instead of having to interpret signs from a book. It's great to be able to have access to something so resourceful.
ASLdeafined has been a God-send. Learning ASL is much more difficult using a book, which typically teaches each sign using pictures of hand shapes, or requires an accompanying CD. Another downfall, books inadequately describe many signs-especially those that are more complex. The website ASLdeafined has made it much easier to learn these signs. Most of the signs are grouped into categories-each lesson showing a video of the sign as well as describing its hand shape and testing with a quiz or two. The dictionary feature makes it easy to find any word in almost no time. This program is wonderful for students enrolled in class or others who are learning independently. ASLdeafined will make learning ASL easier for all people who are learning or want to learn sign language.
I have been using ASLdeafined for 4 years now and it has been a great experience. This website has allowed me to fall in love with the language. There are many great activities that are offered to learn signs, it is very effective. I love the use of the Deaf people in the website. This website is very professional and is a great resource to learn the language.
ASLdeafined has provided an easy way to learn American Sign Language. It is much easier than a book. And, there are over 16,000 video words in the dictionary.
